St. Joseph Coptic Orthodox ChurchDRAFT — For Priest Review. This checklist is not yet approved church policy.
Preparing for Baptism
Baptisms take place at St. Joseph Coptic Orthodox Church. The priest sets available church baptism times, normally before Holy Liturgy between 6:00 and 7:00 AM, in 20-minute appointments. Confirm all arrangements with the priest.
Before the Baptism
- Contact the church: Submit the baptism request and select an available baptism appointment. Confirm the date and any church-specific requirements with the priest.
- Discuss arrangements with the priest: Ask about the candidate or child, parents, godparents, documents, sponsor requirements, and any special pastoral circumstances.
- Prepare for the service: Confirm arrival time and what clothing, towels, or other items the priest asks your family to bring.
Day of Baptism
Arrive at the agreed time: Baptism is held at the church. Follow the priest's instructions and confirm that all preparation requirements have been completed.
Questions or Urgent Circumstances
Contact St. Joseph Church directly: Do not rely on the online form for emergencies or urgent pastoral needs.
IMPORTANT — DRAFT, NOT YET APPROVED CHURCH POLICY. This checklist is an initial organizational aid. The priest must review and approve the official baptism preparation and sacramental instructions before public use. The online time reservation does not replace pastoral preparation.
